Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated two weighing scales at a cost of about Tk. 95 lakh to ensure the transparency of energy cost of waste transportation.
The CCC Mayor inaugurated two weighing scales at Anandabazar garbage dump in Arefin Nagar and Halishahar in the port city on Monday.
At the time, he said that 280 vehicles are being used to keep the city clean. Two modern weighing scales have been installed to digitally calculate the number of trips these vehicles have completed and the amount of waste they have carried. This will reduce the chances of fuel theft by evading trips which will ensure transparency of fuel expenditure.
CCC Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Muhammad Towhidul Islam, Councillor Shahed Iqbal Babu, ZiaulHaqueSuman, Abdul Mannan, Md. Elias, Chief Engineer Rafiqul Islam Manik, Private Secretary to Mayor Abul Hashem, Additional Chief Engineer Munirul Huda, Superintending Engineer Akbar Ali, Shahinul Islam, Executive Engineer Ashiqul Islam, Mirza FazlulKader, Towhidul Hasan, Rifatul Karim, Assistant Engineer Rubel Chandra Das, Imran Hussain Khoka were present.
