Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) in a drive today evicted over 50 unauthorized shops built both the side of city's busiest road Kazirdweri area on Sunday.
The eviction team also seized huge bricks and sand from the said area. The bricks and sand kept at its Sagorika Godowns, the source added.
“We have evicted over 50 makeshift unauthorized establishments built both the side of city's busiest road Kazirdweri area, occupying footpath” said CCC Deputy Conservancy officer Morshedul Alam Chowdhury.
Marufa Begum Neli, executive magistrate of CCC conducted the three hour-long drives from 10 am in cooperation with police and senior officials of conservancy unite of CCC.
