A press conference was held at Chuadanga Press Club to protest the filing of a case against Editor of Amar Sangbad and The Daily Post, and Awami League nomination seeking candidate of Chudanga-2 constituencey Hashem Reza on baseless allegations and kidnapping case with Damurhuda police station.
The press conference was arranged under the auspices of Hasem Reza Samorthok Gosthi on July 8.
The written statement was read out by Hasem Reza, Editor of Amar Sangbad and The Daily Post, and Awami League nomination seeking candidate. Islam Rokib and Jillur Rahman Modhu of Hasem Reja Somorthok Gosthi were present at the press conference.
According to written statement, the police are requested to conduct a proper investigation of the case for right judgment filed by Shimul Reja.
It is learnt from the statement, Hashem Reza is being threatened to death by the opponent group.
