Secretary of Cabinet Division (coordination and reforms) Md. Mahmudul Hossain Khan has called upon everyone to collectively implement 125 programmes of Social Safety Net.
Directing the directors and deputy director of the local government and upazila nirbahi officers (UNOs) to do strong monitoring in this regard, he said that special importance should be given to child-centered social safety net programmes to build a fair and talented nation. He said these while addressing the chief guest at the National Social Security Strategy and Child-Centered Social Security Workshop held at the conference room of Mymensingh Zilla Parishad on Saturday (September 2).
Divisional Commissioner of Mymensingh Umme Salma Tanzia presided over the first day sessions of the two-day workshop where stakeholders from Mymensingh and Sherpur districts participated.
Additional Secretary (coordination) in the Cabinet Division Dr Muhammad Mosharraf Hossain attended the opening ceremony as the special guest, while Divisional Director of Local Government Farid Hossain, Cabinet Division Joint Secretary Mohammad Khalid Hossain, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Tahmina Akhtar, Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Md Mostafizar Rahman and Sherpur Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Al Khairum were also present, among others.
Deputy Commissioners of two districts, all Deputy Directors of Local Government, and Upazila Nirbahi Officers participated in this workshop organised by the Cabinet Division and Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner.
