The people of the district are very happy and feel proud as a first grader Rohini Hasan Wriddhi won two national level competitions arranged by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Bangladesh Shishu Academy.
Wriddhi clinched "Jatyo Shishu Puroskar Protijogita" arranged by Bangladesh Shishu Academy and "Deshbyapi Protiva Annyashan" arranged by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy held at both the academies institutional headquarters in Dhaka on July 26 and 30 last respectively.
In both the completions, the little girl became second in recitation of 'Ka' group and she was the most little winner in age in that group, said her mother and college teacher Saima Rowson Nuri Sandhya.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy conferred its prize on Wriddhi at its Jatyo Natyashala function in Dhaka on Monday evening.
With Director General (DG) of the academy Liakat Ali Laki in the chair, the function was attended by State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid as the chief guest.
Wriddhi, a student of North Breeze School and College in Chapainawabganj town, expressed her joy and happiness getting the prizes.
She apprised the BSS correspondent of learning recitation from her mother.
Wriddhi is the only daughter of her parents Hasan Alam Anny and Saima Rowson Nuri Sandhya.
Her mother said, "Wriddhi started her journey in different cultural events like recitation, songs, dance and drawing through performing at a stage programme arranged on the occasion of International Mother Language Day in 2022".
She was just five when she first recited a poem, Sandhya said.
Wriddhi by now won as many as 24 prizes in different competitions arranged by Chapainawabganj district administration, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Mobile Library, District Public Library and her school. In most of the events, she secured first prize, her mother said.
Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj AKM Galiv Khan said, "We congratulated Wriddhi from the district administration for winning national level competitions and bringing pride for the district."
"We are trying our level best to nurse the talented students like Wriddhi properly so that they can be brought up with the spirit of our liberation war and the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," he added. District Cultural Officer of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Md. Faroqur Rahman Faisal said, "We are extremely happy and feel proud of Wriddhi."
District Officer of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Md. Shafiqul Islam also expressed his satisfaction saying Wriddhi would be an inspiration for other children of the district.
