Abus Sayeed Biswas, newly elected general secretary of Jhenaidah Bus, Minibus owners association has filed a writ with the High Court challenging deputation of administrator for the association (petition number 5746/2020).
The high Court had advised the deputy commissioner (DC), superintendent of police (SP), additional deputy commissioner (revenue) and officer in charge of Jhenidah police station to respond within 28 days to showing cause about the deputation of the administrator for the association. Association leaders said the law maker of Jhenidah-2 constituency (Jhenidah-Harinakundu) Tahjib Alam Siddiquee Somi after meeting with two rival groups of the association leaders had formed an 18-member committee with Rokanuzzaman Ranu president and Abu Sayeed general secretary on August 29.
The lawmaker as per the request of the leaders also led the oath taking event there.
As per a letter from Jhenidah deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath, the ministry of commerce on September 10, additional secretary Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam, organization director of commerce in a letter had deputed the administrator for Jhenidah Bus, Minibus owners association.
The newly elected general secretary Abu Sayeed Biswas filed a writ with the High Court challenging the decision.
