Naogaon village farmer Abu Saeed said, "I have cultivated 3 bighas of wheat as the cost of wheat cultivation is less than that of Boro paddy." I received 40 kg seeds of 33 varieties of barley, 2 bags of urea, 1 bag of potash, 1 bag of TSP and 2 bags of organic manure from the Agriculture Office. I hope the yield will be much better with 40/50 ounces of wheat. And this time wheat is being sold in the market for Tk 1420.
In this regard, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Lutfunnahar Luna said that bumper wheat production has been seen in different places including the char areas of the upazila.
