According to the Upazila Agriculture Office, coriander is a profitable crop of high value. Therefore, technical advice and assistance is being provided to the farmers in coriander cultivation. In this way, the farmers will be able to increase the yield financially through modern farming methods. This year, coriander is being cultivated in 35 hectares of land along the river in eight Unions of the Upazila. Due to heavy rains in last year, farmers suffered losses in coriander cultivation. I did it last year too but due to heavy rainfall I did not benefit from cultivating coriander. Coriander yield has been good this year. I hope I can make up for last year's loss this year.” Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdullah Al Mamun said coriander cultivation has been good this year. The coriander yield has exceeded the target that the authorities concerned have set.
