Experts at a view-exchange meeting on Tuesday stressed attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) through building global network and providing highest level of services to the global investors.
Terming Bangladesh as a safe investment destination, they expressed hope that the existing challenges will be possible to address effectively in attracting foreign investment through a combined effort of all concerned.
The views came up at a view exchange meeting between the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), held at the conference room of BIDA at Agargaon in the capital.
Chief Adviser’s International Affair’s special envoy Lutfe Siddiqui attended the discussion as the chief guest with BIDA Secretary Dr. Khondoker Azizul Islam in the chair.
Lutfe Siddiqui expressed that BIDA and FICCI will work togather in a more effective manner to further development of foreign investment.
Newly appointed BIDA BIDA Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury jouned the meeting virtually as the guest of honor while FICCI President Zaved Akhter attended as the special guest.
They discussed the ongoing investment policy, legal challanges, impediments and their remedial measures.
Lutfe Siddiqui suggested BIDA and FICCI to work togather by facing all the existing challanges, to maintain sequences of investment and to attract more investment from global investors.
BIDA Executive Chairman Ashique Chowdhury said the foreign investors work as the ambassadors of Bangladesh worldwide in attracting FDI, they work hard to promote Bangladesh’s investment environment and opportunities abroad to.
