ICPC, renowned as the premier olympiad in programming, is an annual competition dedicated to young students showcasing their programming prowess. During the six-hour contest, university students tackle various programming problems on internet-connected computers.
In the final round, a panel of ICPC judges evaluates the participants' solutions. The team that successfully solves the most problems clinches the coveted title of World Final champion.
Peking University of China secured the top spot overall, claiming victory in East Asia as well.
The ICPC is spearheaded by Baylor University in Texas, USA, and is currently overseen by the ICPC Foundation.
Notably, Bangladesh had the honor of hosting the ICPC event for the first time in 2022, becoming the fourth Asian country to do so after China, Japan, and Thailand.
