The undergraduate admission tests of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) under academic session 2019-2020 was held on Monday at the university premises. The admission tests of the aspirants of the engineering faculties were held from 9am to 12pm while the tests of architecture faculty were held from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm in two phases. A total of 12,161 students appeared in the tests against 1060 seats under different faculties of the university.
The applicants were not allowed to take mobile phones, smart watches or any other electronic devices in the examination halls except admit card, pen, pencil and calculators of approved models.
Professor Dr Saiful Islam, vice-chancellor (VC), BUET visited different examination centers on the campus. Professor Dr Pran Kanai Saha, chairman of Admission Committee, Professor Dr S M Mahbubur Rahman, registrar, Professor Dr Md Mizanur Rahman, director, DSW and other teachers of the university accompanied the VC during his visit.
