The Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has postponed its 6th convocation. The university's public relations office confirmed this decision. The convocation was originally planned for August 4, but no new date has been announced yet.
Syed Ashraful Haque, the assistant public relations officer of BUBT, shared this information. He mentioned that the convocation was postponed due to the overall situation in the country. He also assured that the university would announce a new date soon.
The 6th convocation was set to take place at the Bangabandhu Capital International Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. Around 1,400 students were expected to receive their certificates during this event.
Previously, BUBT held its 5th convocation on May 31, 2022. Dr. Dipu Moni, the former Minister of Education, presided over that convocation as the representative of His Excellency the President and Chancellor of the University. During that event, degrees were awarded to the graduates.
Students and their families are now waiting for further updates on when the postponed convocation will be rescheduled. The university is expected to make an announcement in the coming days.
