BUBT observes National Mourning Day

A blood donation drive and dua mahfil were arranged on the occasion of the 44th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh and the National Mourning Day in the hall room of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), Rupnagar, Mirpur-2, Dhaka on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. 

On Tuesday, Dr Kazi Nur-ul-Ferdous, teacher of Pediatric Surgery, Dhaka Shishu Hospital and member of BUBT Trust inaugurated the blood donation. BUBT Social Welfare Club and Bangladesh Thalassemia Hospital aided the blood collection.

On Wednesday, Bir Muktijoddha Mr Abed Khan, Chairman, Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) and editor and publisher of Dainik Jagoron described Bangabandhu’s assassination in different angles, which includes the Pak-American plot, as the chief guest of the dua mahfil. Professor Md Abu Saleh, Vice Chancellor, BUBT presided over the function. Professor Mian Lutfar Rahman, Advisor, Students’ Affairs delivered the welcome speech.

Distinguished guests, members of BUBT Trust, Treasurer, Deans of all faculties, Research Director, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Joint Registrar, Proctor, Chairmen of Departments, teachers, officials and a large number of students of BUBT were present at the programmes.
