Barisal University (BU) has waived student hall and transportation fees for the corona period.
The decision was taken at the 33rd executive meeting of the finance committee chaired by University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Sadequll Arefin.
Today confirmed the University Proctor Dr Khorshed Alam. He said that in view of the written application of the students, it has been decided in the meeting of the Finance Committee of the university to waive the dormitory hall and transport fees of the students for a period of time. For those who have already submitted these fees, it will be adjusted or refunded later.
Wabidur Rahman, one of the appellant students, said, “We had written to the Vice-Chancellor through Proctor Sir for waiver of student transport fee and residential hall fee during the corona period. Transportation fee and residential hall fee have been waived in today's meeting of the finance committee.
