Students of Barishal University have organized a human chain to demand the opening of educational institutions. They held the program under the banner of general students of Barishal in front of the main gate of Barishal University at 11 am, on Monday.
The students demanded that all the educational institutions be opened as soon as possible in compliance with the health rules.
Md Alamin, a student of Bangla department in Manabbandhan, said, “Our educational institution has been closed for about 14 months. In this long time, we are far away from academic studies not just in campus, but also in our homes. In the meantime, our teachers have only joked with us in the name of online classes.”
It is to be noted that all the educational institutions have been closed since March 16 0f 2020 due to Covid-19 infection and global pandemic. For that, many students are facing academic and carrier related struggles as a huge session jam is ongoing due to the shutdown of all academic institutions.
