A ll the residential halls of Barishal University (BU) are going to reopen on October 4 after a long shutdown to prevent coronavirus (Covid-19) infection.
Monday (September 27) the decision was taken at the 35th meeting of the Academic Council chaired by University Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Sadequl Arefin.
University Proctor Dr Md Khorshed Alam confirmed the opening of the residential hall from October 4.
The VC said the decision was taken at a meeting of the Academic Council held at 11 am on Monday. Students have to enter the hall by showing the vaccination certificate card (at least 1 dose) and ID card. No outsider will be able to enter the halls.
The rules and regulations of their respective halls have to be followed.

He further said that in-person classes will start at Barisal University from the third week of October. Those who have not yet been vaccinated will be requested to register quickly and receive the vaccine. He said that hygiene rules must be followed in the campus.
