SM Ferdous Alam, Director General of Bangladesh Standards & Testing Institution (BSTI), has been honoured with Shuddhachar Award in recognition of outstanding contribution and practice of honesty in the workplace.
He was given this honour in a ceremony organised by the Ministry of Industries on Monday.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun MP handed over the Award to BSTI Director General (DG) while Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Industries, Zakia Sultana and senior officials of the Ministry were present.
SM Ferdous Alam won the first position in integrity among 12 departments of the Ministry of Industries in various indicators of integrity and ethics, leadership qualities, decision making, implementation of APA goals.
Besides, among the 12 agencies under the Ministry of Industries, BSTI has secured the first position in the Annual Performance Agreement (APA).
On receiving the 'Shuddhachar' Award, BSTI Director General said, ‘this award will act as an inspiration for me.
I will always strive to perform my professional duties with honesty, integrity and reliability.’
