BSMRAAU Hosts Seminar on Smart Aviation in Bangladesh

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University (BSMRAAU) hosted a hybrid seminar titled 'Developing Smart Aviation in Bangladesh: Challenges and Opportunities' at its Lalmonirhat Campus. Organized by the Department of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, the seminar received support from the BSMRAAU AI and Robotics Club (BAIRC), marking a significant initiative in aviation and aerospace education and research within Bangladesh's first public university dedicated to the field.

The seminar's primary objective was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape of the aviation industry in Bangladesh, highlighting technological advancements, existing challenges, and potential avenues for growth.

Wing Commander J M Mostafizur Rahman (Retd), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sky Capital Airlines Ltd, delivered a keynote paper emphasizing the importance of digitalization, connectivity, and the myriad career opportunities available in the smart aviation sector. Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Mafidur Rahman, BBP, BSP, BUP, ndu, afwc, psc, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), graced the event as the chief guest. The seminar was chaired by the Honourable Vice Chancellor of the university, Air Vice Marshal A S M Fakhrul Islam, OSP, GUP, ndc, afwc, psc, GD (P).

The seminar attracted participants from various universities across Bangladesh, including both students and faculty members, fostering a collaborative platform for insightful discussions on the future of smart aviation.
