Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has strengthened security to run its activities in a proper manner for ensuring constructive and sustainable reform of the capital market.
The decision was made on Sunday at a meeting between BSEC Chairman Khondoker Rashed Maqsood and Director General of the Bangladesh Coast Guard Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali at BSEC in the city, a press release said on Monday.
Senior officials from the armed forces also took part in the meeting. At the meeting, it was also discussed that the armed forces will assist the BSEC to ensure proper security.
Capital market is closely related with the country's economy. As a capital market regulatory body, the BSEC is included in the Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) declared by the government.
