BSC Financial help for Engr Hadisur family

Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) provided financial assistance to the family of late Hadisur Rahman, the 3rd pilot who died in MV Banglar Samriddhi ship which was damaged in Ukraine.

On March 2, 2022, the MV Banglar Samriddhi ship owned by Bangladesh Shipping Corporation was attacked during the Russia-Ukraine war while in Olvia port of Ukraine.  Md Hadisur Rahman, the third engineer working on the ship, died at the scene of the attack.  

In view of that, the family of late Hadisur Rahman, the 3rd engineer of the ship Bangla Samriddi, which was damaged in Ukraine, was given financial assistance of 4,200 US dollars on behalf of the ship officers and sailors of BSC.

The financial support ceremony was held on Thursday morning at BSC Tower in Dhaka.  Managing Director of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) Commodore Md. Ziaul Haque was present as the chief guest in the event.

It should be noted that according to the MLC (Maritime Labor Convention) agreement on behalf of BSC, compensation was paid to the family and officers and sailors of the late Hadisur Rahman, 3rd mate of Samriddi vessel of MV Bangla, which was damaged in Ukraine on June 16, 2022.
