The police arrested a broker from outside the Chittagong Medical College (CMC) hospital. The detainee Shahadat Hossain Sifat (18) is the son of Abdul Mabud Ghafur, a Cosmopolitan resident of Panchlaish police station in the city. Earlier, the police arrested a broker last Monday.
He was arrested on Wednesday (November 22) afternoon.
CMC hospital police outpost in-charge Nur Ullah Ashek said the police administration is working to rid the hospital of brokers. He used to extort money from the patients who were admitted to the hospital. Suspiciously he was arrested while roaming outside the hospital. Legal action against him has been sent to the court.
