Young people should not get bogged down with thoughts over the quality of their writings and instead focus more on producing and contributing to publications, said Professor Ferdous Azim, chairperson of the Department of English and Humanities of Brac University (BracU).

Quality will emerge slowly as one produces more and more write ups, she said, adding, “It’s when we stop ourselves that we stop flourishing.”

Professor Azim was addressing the launching of Resonance, a bilingual creative writing journal of the department, at the BracU auditorium on Tuesday.

The ceremony saw contributors read out their parts from Resonance, the rendition of songs and dance performances and the presentation of food prepared by the department’s teachers and students.
