The first ever intra-university business case competition "Vitalizers" held at Brac University ended, with the Team FashionX winning.
In the nerve-wrecking final stage, team "FashionX" emerged victorious with their idea of "Eco Rider." The champion team received Tk15,000 as prize money, certificates, and other gifts.
Vitalizers presented by HeadStart, was organised by the Brac University Business and Economics Forum in association with The Business Standard.
The competition aimed to challenge the participants with the task of developing sustainable branding strategies for Bangladesh's toy industry, centring around the Sustainable Development Goals, digitisation, and operational efficiency throughout the contest.
According to the organisers, hosting the first-ever intra-university business case competition was a challenging feat. It had taken the Brac University Business and Economics Forum months-long planning and preparation.
The response from students had been phenomenal, as 100+ teams registered for the competition. After a competitive first round, only 16 teams made it to the Semi-Finals, while only the top six teams qualified for the grand finale.
The expectations were high, and the Brac University Business and Economics Forum delivered by hosting workshops facilitated by the winners of global case competitions, and with its selection of partners and the panel of judges including Fazle Rabbi, group head of marketing at Partex Star Group, Ishmam Chowdhury, chief of staff at Shikho, Shamim Ehsanul Haque, assistant professor and senior research fellow at Brac Business School, and Yusha Al Khondker, co-founder of HeadStart.
The event has sown the seeds for students' future careers with new affiliations and enhanced leadership, networking, and problem-solving skills, said the organisers.
