BotTala, a prominent theater group, will stage its popular drama “Bonnotherium” on August 30 at 7 pm. The performance will be held at the Neelima Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh Mohila Somity on Bailey Road, Dhaka. This event is part of BotTala’s celebration of its 16th anniversary, which was marked on August 27.
The group’s slogan for this year is “Nishshongko chitter gai joyogan,” reflecting their commitment to the ongoing struggle for freedom and justice in Bangladesh. BotTala, known for their impactful productions such as “Marx in Soho,” “Rise & Shine,” and “Shokhi Rongomala,” continues to use their art as a voice for important social causes.
The ticket sales from “Bonnotherium” will support the welfare of children affected by recent floods. In addition to the play, there will be a special art camp for children titled "Draw with Cartoon People" starting from 4 pm, before the show. This camp will provide children with an opportunity to engage in creative activities and express themselves through art. BotTala has a history of blending their artistic pursuits with social activism, consistently using their platform to raise awareness and support for various causes.
This event not only celebrates their milestone but also contributes to a meaningful cause, making it a significant occasion for both the audience and the community.
For tickets and more information, attendees are encouraged to visit the venue early and participate in the art camp. This initiative aims to bring joy and support to children in need while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Bangladeshi theater.
