Book cover on Bangabandhu unveiled in Rajshahi

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the celebration of Mujib Barsho, the cover of a book entitled, " Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib in the light of Islam" written by Maulana Mohammad Maksud Ullah was unveiled through a function held at Rifles Club Nanking Convention Hall on Saturday morning.  Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton unveiled the cover of the book at the function as the chief guest. 

AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at the function said,  the book shows how Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman followed the tenets of Islam throughout his life and almost all aspects of Islamic edicts followed by Bangabandhu has been revealed through the book. He further mentioned, the book shows that Bangabandhu had been a non-communal person.

Mayor Liton also recalled the historical aspects of the Speech of Bangabandhu at the Race Course Maidan on March-7,1971 where he called to start for a movement of freedom by mentioning boldly' Whenever we have shed our blood, we would shed more but Insa Allah set free the people of the country." By being inspired through his speech, innocent, unarmed Bangalee people started to take preparation to start struggle for freedom."

Writer of the book Maulana Mohammad Maksud Ullah said, He has tried to highlight the aspects of Islam which Bangabandhu used to follow and how he obeyed the tenets of Islam. He further said, Bangabandhu always followed the fundamental rules or tenets of Islam of which he followed the most- ' Order to perform honest works and to avoid or prohibit the dishonest  activities." The book was not written with any political intention but only the rules and tenets of Islam followed by Bangabandhu  have been depicted here based on true historical aspect. He further said, if we proceed with the inspiration of Banabandhu, we, the Bangalees will never be defeated and Bangladesh will turn to a country of gold as dreamed by Bangabandhu.
