Popular streaming site Bongo is set to combine works of Bangladeshi literature and film through their Based on Books (BOB) project.
It will showcase the works of seven writers, Shahaduz Zaman, Sadat Hossain, Rahitul Islam, Shibabrata Barman, Mahbub Morshed, Jobaed Ahsan and Maruf Rehman, read a press release.
All the seven projects will be directed by seven eminent directors like Animesh Aich, Noor Imran Mithu, Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi, Sanjoy Somaddar, Wahid Tareq, Vicky Zahed and Golam Haider Kisloo.
The on-screen stories will be aired on three television channels and later on BONGO's OTT platform.
For the first time, actor Ilias Kanchan will be seen on the OTT platform. Ishrat Jahan Chaiti, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Partha Barua, Manoj Pramanik, Mumtahina Toya, Ashna Habib Bhabna and many more seniors and contemporary artists will be featured in the films.
