The Bollywood movie 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao was released in Bangladesh simultaneously with its release in India. Ananya Mamun, the head of the importing company Action Cut Entertainment, confirmed that the movie is showing in 26 theatres across Bangladesh.
In India, the audience was very excited about the movie. Speaking about her experience working on the film, Janhvi Kapoor said, "Raj and I were often exhausted during the romantic shoots. I remember shooting our first romantic scene after working for about 20 hours. We were completely drained."
She added, "On top of that, we were not feeling well, but we had to act as if we were falling in love and kissing for the first time. It was challenging because we were so tired inside."
'Mr and Mrs Mahi' is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar. In the story, Rajkummar plays Mahendra, a failed cricketer who is a huge fan of the sport. Janhvi's character, Mahima, is a doctor. They are married, and because their names start with the same letter, they are called Mr. and Mrs. Mahi. Despite being a doctor, Mahima is good at batting, and Mahendra supports her in becoming a cricketer.
Bollywood movies have been showing in Bangladesh since last year, starting with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan,' followed by 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,' 'Jawaan,' 'Animal,' 'Dunky,' and 'Crew.' 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' is the latest addition to this lineup.
