A view exchange meeting was held between the newly appointed Superintendant of Police (SP) of Bogura Zaikr Hassan (PPM Bar) and the local journalists at the Superintendant of Police Office on Thursday.
The newly appointed Superintendant of Police Zakir Hassan spoke in the view exchange meeting. He said he will take measures to make the law and order situation in Bogura better so that the people in the district can live safely. He will eliminate crimes and take necessary steps to maintain discipline and peace in the district. He said that the purpose of police station is to provide services to the public. He will implement measures so that the public gets proper services from the police station. Te work of the police is to give people their desired service, he added.
The newly appointed Superintendant of Police said they will take actions against anyone related to any kind of crime according to specific complaints. They will work from a strict position against extortion, snatching, drug peddling and other crimes. They will take actions against various crime gangs as well, including teen gangs. They discussed about how to solve the traffic jam in Bogura and what measures they will take against the terrorist and extortionist. He also said that the police will keep an eye so that the journalist can safely fulfill their professional responsibility.
Additional Superintendant of Police Snighdo Akhter, Abdur Rashid, Motahar Hossain, Suman Ranjan Sarkar and Md Shorafat Islam, president of Bogura Press Club Mahmudul Alam Nayan, former general secretary Akhtaruzzamn, senior journalist Hasibur Rahman Bilu, president of BUJ JM Rauf, general secreraty Rana and others spoke in the meeting.
The newly appointed Superintendant of Police joined his duty on Wednesday. Earlier, he was the Superintendant of Police of Feni.
