The body of a youth named Majnu Khan alias Fazlu Mia (28) was recovered from the crop field in Jibonnagra Upazila in Chuadanga a day after he went missing.
Majnu Khan is the son of Kashem Ali of Santoshpur village of Jibannagar upazila. Jabbar Ali, son of Dalil Uddin of the same village, who was with the deceased, is missing. Missing Jabbar Ali is the brother of deceased Majnu Khan. Majnu Khan was a pole factory worker by profession.
Kashem Ali, the father of the deceased, said that Majnu Khan and Jabbar Ali left the house on Tuesday afternoon. After that they never returned home.
Locals saw a young man lying in a field called Kablerchara between Santoshpur and Dhopakhali villages at 9 am on Wednesday and took him to Jibonnagar Upazila Health Complex. At that time the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Jibannagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Javeed Hasan said that the body of a young man was recovered from a field between Santoshpur and Dhopakhali villages. The body has been sent to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An investigation has been launched to unravel the mystery of the death.
