The police recovered the body of Jahangir Alam from the Satnal Bridge area of Manirampur Upazila of Jashore on Friday morning.
The body was recovered after receiving information from the locals around 10 am on Friday. Police sent the body to Jashore General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The deceased was Jahangir Alam 45 son of Nurul member of Paiyali village of Monirampur upazila.
The deceased's father, Nurul Member, said that Jahangir Alam worked in RFL Company in Dhaka. He left Dhaka for home on Thursday night. Family members were in touch with him on phone.
He got off the bus in Monirampur upazila at around 4:30 am.
When family members went to receive him, he was not found there.
Later this morning, Police came to know that his body was lying near Satnal Bridge. How did Jahangir get there from the bus stand? Police are unable to say anything about how he died. Manirampur Police Station OC Moniruzzaman said, it was not possible to say without post-mortem report how Jahangir was killed.
Because of this, his body was recovered and sent to the Jashore General morgue for post-mortem.
Legal action will be taken if a complaint is filed on behalf of his family in this incident.
