A man named Moiz Uddin (50) went missing while fishing in the river near his house at Nikli upazila in Kishoreganj. He went missing last Thursday night (November 18). He is the son of late Madhu Mia of Malhanti in Shantipur village under Nikli upazila.
On Sunday (November 21) morning, locals spotted his body floating in a place called Ghoradigha of Dhanu river and informed the Nikli police. Upon receiving the news, a police team led by Nikli Police Inspector (SI) Anisul Haque went to the spot and recovered the body. The corpse has follicular marks on the head, right arm and thigh of the right leg.
Nikli Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mansur Ali Arif said the body was sent to Kishoreganj Morgue for autopsy. The plaintiff's case will be investigated and whoever is guilty will be brought under the law.
