The 46th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was celebrated at Ulipur in Kurigram on Sunday.
On this occasion, the national flag and the party flag were hoisted at the party office there on Sunday afternoon. Later, a discussion meeting and doa mahfil were held.
Upazila BNP president Haydar Ali Mia presided over the meeting. Foreign Affairs Committee Member of Begum Khaleda Zia and also district BNP president Tasveer-ul Islam spoke as the chief guest. Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary SM Habib Nayan and Member of the Jubo Dal convening committee Abdullah Al Nahian moderated the programme. District BNP Senior Vice-President and former municipality mayor Tarik Abul Ala Choudhury, Upazila BNP Senior Vice-President Abdur Rashid Sarkar, vice-president Mohsin Ali, general secretary Obaydur Rahman Bulbul, organizing secretary Nuruzzaman Bachchu, municipality BNP president Nur Mohammad, general secretary Solayman Sarkar, Upazila Jubo Dal convener Taufikur Rahman Lavlu, Upazila Mohila Dal convener Rina Begum and municipality Mohila Dal general secretary Lota Begum, Chhatra Dal convener Bipul Ahmed, Joint-convener Romjan Ali Kobir and others also spoke at the meeting.
