A vested quarter of BNP, Jammat-e-Islam and its allied political parties are said to be spreading rumours and propaganda as part of conspiracies against the government.
Common people and political analysts said that they opted to these backdoor so called campaigns as they lack genuine public supports in their favour and faith in democratic system.
According to sources, inspired by the anti-liberation forces and vested quarters, including the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, have now become active ahead of the 12th National Parliament elections.
As part of their conspiracies, the ill-motivated forces recently spread a rumour over the financial matters as saying that banks in the country might be shut down. These rumours were being spread through various social media creating panic among the account holders of different banks.
In such a circumstance, terming the rumours fabrication by a vested quarters, the authorities of the Bangladesh Bank on Sunday issued a notification so that the people of the country are not panicked over the money deposited in different banks.
The officials of the central bank also held a press conference on Monday urginh common people not to worry about their money deposited in banks.
Earlier, these anti-state forces have spread several rumours about the construction of the Padma Multi-purpose Bridge. They, however, failed to achieve and win people’s support on the issue of questioning the quality works of the bridge and tarnish the image of the government.
In the rumour, the anti-state forces spread rumours like human head, mainly of children are required to complete the construction of the bridge. Their rumours also led to death of several people.
Another source said that some influential persons in the country have become more active in hatching conspiracies against Bangladesh, its ongoing development process and the existing democratic system.
Since those identified persons have no public support and faith in democracy, they always prefer such types of backdoor policies through conspiracies in support with conspirators at home and abroad.
As part of their as usual characteristics, sources said, those people are now on tours in different countries to make their conspiracies successful in any way. They are trying to mislead the foreign diplomats, different world organisations and also government of different countries, which are basically the friends of Bangladesh due to its democratic and non-communal norms and its ongoing development process under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The sources said those conspirators have intensified their ill-motivated move at the ahead of the next 12th National Parliament elections through a democratic way and as per the constitution of Bangladesh.
According to sources, like Dr Yunus and Tarique Rahman, some other personnel, including Dr Kamal Hossain, BNP leaders Barrister Moinul Hossain and Osman Faruq, are also doing the same things in various ways.
The hands of conspirators are also strengthening with the supports of the anti-liberation forces and the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
It should be mentioned conspiracies against Bangladesh are not a new phenomenon. Myriad plots and intrigues have taken place since its birth through a nine-month long Liberation War in 1971.
The ulterior motive is to prevent Bangladesh from developing a non-communal state imbued with the spirit of the Liberation War. And the character of the conspirators is clearly perceptible. The communal forces that opposed the birth of the Bangladesh, are repeatedly trying to change its socio-cultural and political character.
The organised clique of communalism with their domestic and international allies has been constantly conspiring against the country. And the level of this conspiracy increased manifold after the trial of the war criminals had started, especially after the execution of their judgments one by one.
Sources said that conspiracies are being hatched up to discredit Sheikh Hasina Government. The World Bank’s cancellation of Padma Bridge loan, US sanctions on the elite anti-crime and anti-terrorism unit Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and the publication of US State Department’s report on alleged human rights violations in Bangladesh without any prior discussion with the government smack of a conspiracy theory.
Indian analysts are also of the opinion that the sequence of events leading to violence during Durga Puja celebrations is part of a larger conspiracy to destabilize Sheikh Hasina government. Besides, the creation of so-called 1/11, Professor Yunus’ all-out effort to form a political party, quite unbecoming to a Nobel Laureate, the British Jewish journalist David Bergman’s nose poking into Bangladesh’s internal affairs, the organized smear campaign by hired hands are acts of criminal conspiracy.
If not properly countered, these conspiracies can pose serious threats to the very existence of our secular Bangladesh. The government should identify the crux of the problem and realize the urgency of the matter. There is no question about Sheikh Hasina’s success in the politics of development. Now it's time to see how successful she becomes in suppressing the conspiracy against the country.
It should be mentioned that one of the lawmakers named Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury on Jun 28 this year demanded in the parliament to impose sanctions on Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus, Hilary Clinton, and Cherie Blair so that they could not hatch any further conspiracy against Bangladesh.
The lawmaker elected from Faridpur-4 (Bhanga, Sadarpur and Charvodrason Upazila) said this while participating in the general discussion on the proposed budget for 2022-23 fiscal year.
Mujibur popularly known as Nixon Chowdhury, said, "I demand sanctions on Dr Yunus, Hilary Clinton and wife of Tony Blair (Cherie Blair) so they cannot engage in any new conspiracy against the country after coming to Bangladesh."
He also asked the government to bring the Bangladeshi citizens engaged in conspiracy over construction of Padma Bridge under the purview of law after filing sedition cases.
"Among those persons are Dr Yunus, Khaleda Zia, and her son Tarique Zia," he said.
