In the name of political programmes, BNP and its allied political parties, including Jamaat, militant groups, fundamentalists and conspirators at home and abroad, have lately resorted to terrorist acts trying to destabilize the country.

In disguise of sit-in programmes, such militant groups led by BNP and Jamaat on Saturday put barricades on the roads at all the entrances to the capital city Dhaka as part of their pre-planned attempts to disconnect the capital with the rest of the country.

During their programmes, BNP activists set several passenger buses and a police van on fire and vandalized many others in and around the capital city on Saturday like they did  in 2013 and 2014.

They also went into rampage like they did in 2013 and 2014 and were locked into clashes with the law enforcers creating anarchy and panic among the common people.

They set a police van and several vehicles on fire in Shyamoli area where many other vehicles were also vandalized.

In south-east Dhaka in Matuail, at least three passenger buses were set ablaze and many others were vandalized.

In Uttara, another passenger bus was also burnt to ashes during BNP’s violent attacks.

According to witnesses, a group of BNP men brought out a procession and set fire on a public passenger bus registered with Welcome Paribahan, a motorcycle and a police pick-up van of police near the Shishu Mela area in flames.

The BNP’s aggressive activists were also locked into clashes with police as the law-enforcers tried to stop their violent acts.

Due to the sit-in programme at all the city entrances, no vehicles and people neither could leave the capital nor come from rest of the country.

The BNP is trying to forge a movement in view of ousting the government and form a caretaker government, which is unconstitutional and rejected by the Supreme Court.

As part of their movement, BNP on Friday announced the sit in programme at all the entrances to the capital Dhaka, in a bid to cut the entire capital off from rest of the country.

Earlier in 2013 and 14, in their attempts of foiling the last 11th National Parliamentary election and the process of the war criminals' trial process, BNP, Jammat and their allied forces, including fundamentalists and conspirators at home and abroad, carried out massacre through arson terrorism and vandalism countrywide.

They set hundreds of vehicles, government offices and educational buildings on fire while uprooted thousands of trees and railway tracks.

They burnt several hundred people alive by hurling petrol bombs into many running passenger buses when several thousand others also sustained burn injuries severely. (pleaze check with the sources to verify this which is a serious allegation)

Besides, several hundred engines and bogies of trains were also damaged.

In a written speech on February 17 in 2015, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had mentioned that in the attacks by the BNP, Jamaat and their allied forces, more than 20 personnel from the Bangladesh Army, Boarder Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Ansar and other security forces were killed.

As per the PM's speech, the activists of BNP and Jamaat also made attacks of temples, mosques and other religious institutions.
