BNP holds press briefing at Faridpur

A press briefing of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was held at the Faridpur Press Club on Tuesday.

President of Faridpur Press Club Kabirul Islam Siddiqi presided over the press briefing while general secretary of the Press Club Mahbubul Islam Pikul moderated it. Shama Obaid, organizing secretary of BNP central committee, provided several information to the journalists at the press briefing.

Selimuzzaman Selim, organizing secretary of BNP central executive committee, Advocate Sayed Modarres Ali Icchha, conve­ner of Faridpur district BNP and AFM Kaiyum Jongi, convener of metropolitan BNP, spoke at the press briefing.  

The leaders of Faridpur district BNP and its affiliated organizations were also present at that time.

At the press briefing, Shama Obaid said that BNP leaders and activists fought against Awami League government for a long time. They stayed beside the anti-discriminatory student protestors and supported them during the quota reform movement.

She said the victory that was achieved through the sacrifice of so many people need to be maintained. People need to stay aware so that no ill-efforts are carried out to destroy this victory.

The speakers said people of Bangladesh have not seen such victory after our independence.

They said Acting Chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman gave clear instruction that everyone needs to work from now so that no chaotic situation is created in the country and communal harmony can be maintained. They told the journalists that everyone has to be calm at present. Members of Faridpur Press Club and various print and electronic media journalists were present at the press briefing.
