An emergency meeting of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was held at Dinajpur to plan for the safety of Dinajpur people and their properties on Wednesday.
Incidents of vandalism, looting and anarchy kept occurring across the country after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government. BNP held an emergency meeting to work out a plan in order to ensure the safety of people.
The meeting was held at Bandhan Community Center at Balubari area in Dinajpur town. Abdul Khelak, Co-Organizing Secretary of BNP central executive committee, spoke as the chief guest in the meeting.
President of Dinajpurl District BNP Advocate Mofazzal Hossain Dulal presided over the meeting. Dinajpur Municipality Mayor and member of BNP central executive committee Syed Jahangir Alam spoke in the emergency meeting as well.
General Secretary of District BNP Bokhtiar Ahmed Kochi delivered the welcome speech in the meeting.
Senior Vice-President of District BNP Md Mokarram Hossain, Vice-President Khalekuzzaman Babu, Vice-President Alhaz Mahbub, other Vice-Presidents, all Joint Secretaries, Organizing Secretaries, other Secretaries and leaders and activists of various levels of BNP, Jubo Dal, Swecchasebak Dal, Chatra Dal, Mohila Dal, Krishak Dal, Tati Dal, JASAS from 13 upazilas and 22 units of 9 municipalities were present in the meeting.
Abdul Khalek advised every BNP leaders and activists to stay calm in the recent situation. He also told them to stay aware so that no one can destroy the victory that was achieved with the sacrifice of students and mass people.
A prayer was held to pray for the overall welfare of the country at the end of the meeting. President of District BNP Advocate Mofazzal Hossain Dulal led the prayer.
