BNP announces progs countrywide in Nov

BNP has announced 'Mass Communication' programme countrywide in the month of November with the demand for national parliament elections immediately and implementation of 31-point proposal announced aimed at reforming the state.

According to reliable sources, the decision was taken at the party's Standing Committee meeting held on Monday night. As per the decision, the programmes will be held in all the districts and metropolitan cities, including the capital city Dhaka.

Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman presided over the Standing Committee meeting through video conference from London. Besides Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, members of the Standing Committee were present in the meeting.

As part of the programmes, 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day' will be celebrated on November 7 with grandeur. On the occasion, a 10-day long programme will be held in all the districts and cities across the country including Dhaka. A large-scale procession and rally will be held in Dhaka. 

After the November 7 central program, whether the speed of the organisational programmes will be increased or decreased will be decided depending on the situation.

Members of the Standing Committee members discussed the reform proposal announced aimed at reforming the state and the demand for early elections. They expressed their openions to carefully avoid any kind of crisis or complications in the state after the August 5 coup. Especially the President. Sahabuddin's resignation is in question.

A leader of the standing committee, who did not wish to be named, said that the government did not seek any opinion from the BNP regarding the president. Why should BNP respond to the words of the boys?
