Blue Economy, ICT, agriculture, leather sectors need attention

Speakers tell at DBCCI seminar

Speakers at a seminar said highly potential sectors like Blue Economy, Water resources, ICT, Hi-tech Agriculture, Leather and Jute goods need to be in prime focus for further economic uplift in the coming years. 

Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI) hosted the Business Networking Seminar styled “Rewarding Relation between the Netherlands and Bangladesh” followed by Iftar party at a city hotel on Saturday.

Sara van Hoeve, First Secretary, Economic Affairs, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka, Bangladesh graced the event as a Special Guest. 

While addressing, Sara appreciated youth group of Bangladesh, who has a significant contribution in ICT sector. 

Focussing the present contribution by the Dutch government to Bangladesh Sara assured of support from Dutch Embassy.

She said DBCCI may take a role to make a gateway among the youth tech group to the Dutch investors. 

Md. Anwar Shawkat Afser, President, Dutch-Bangla Cham­ber presided over the session. 

He lauded people of the Netherlands, their prudent government leaders and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka for their cooperation in development of Bangladesh.

Prominent business leaders, Dutch partners, representatives from other Chamber of Commerce, government high officials were present in the Iftar Party.

Md. Atiqul Haque, Senior Vice President, Md. Shakawat Hossain Mamun, Vice President, Md. Shahid Alam, Vice President, Ataus Sopan Malik, Secretary General, Muhammad Risalat Siddique, Joint Secretary General, Noafel Bin Reza, Director Finance, Directors present were Md. Nazmul Haque, Md. Shah Alam, M. Rabiul Hossain, Md. Sayem Faroky, Mazharul Haque Chowdhury, Md. Haroon-ur-Rashid, Engr. Razeeb Haider, Kawser Hossain and 120 distinguished members of DBCCI, representatives from Electronic and Print media were present in the networking event. The meeting ended and was followed by dinner.
