Blankets were distributed among 100 poor and helpless families at Narail on Wednesday morning.
Voluntary organization- Anjuman Mofidul Islam,Narail arranged the blankets distribution programme. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narail Muhammad Habibur Rahman was present at distribution programme as chief guest and handed over the blankets among poor and helpless men and women.
The Deputy Commissioner while distributing the blankets said, the severe cold has been prevailing in the southern districts including Narail for last consecutive two weeks. The poorer and underprivilege people have been suffering from serious cold.
The Anjuman Mofidul Islam has done a humanitarian work by giving the blankets to the poor, he said urging the affluent persons of the society for extending their helping hands to the poor for mitigate their suffering.
Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md Jisan Ali, Deputy Superintendent of Narail Government Children's Family Riza Akhtar, Anjuman Mofidul Islam Narail Secretary SM Moslem Uddin Nannu, Treasurer Md Anwar Hossain, K,M Akhtaruzzaman Dablu, Wahida Nargis and other members of Anjuman Mofidul were present during the distribution programme.
Anjuman Mofidul Islam Narail President Abdur Rashid Munnu presided over the function.
