Uttaran Foundation, a non -government organization had distributed blankets among 700 cold hit people of Bede community at Kaliganj and Barobazer in Jhenaidh on Friday afternoon.
Kaliganj police station officer in charge (OC) Abdur Rahim Mollah on behalf of Uttaran Foundation chairman, additional inspector general police (IGP) and tourist police chief Habibur Rahman had distributed the warm clothing at Kashipur Bedepally and Badedihi Madinapara to save the people from severe cold hit when the country people, especially, distressed people were caught in the cold wave like calamities.
During distribution of the blankets OC Abdur Rahim Mollah said to stand by the oppressed and disadvantaged people, Uttaran Foundation guided by additional IGP Habibur Rahman has been extending hands throughout the country in their needs.
A number of media activists remain pesent during the warm clothing distribution event.
Some of the Bede community women ignoring the cold hit climate appeared there. They said the blankets will save them from severe chilling bite. They praised for the wellbeing of the police boss so that he could continue this sort of noble activities like blanket distribution among the poor and needy people.
