Md. Zahirul Islam resident of Piroli village in Kalia upazila under Narail now in America, exceptionally celebrated his daughter Zara Zahir's third birthday by distributing dresses and delicious food among the orphans on Sunday noon. Zahirul's elder brother businessman Sheikh Nazrul Islam distributed dressess and food among the orphan students at his village home in Piroli.
Piroli Khanka Sharif's Pir who also acting principal of Piroli Habibul Alam Bir Pratik College Mahmudul Haque Abu Jafar, social worker Ghulam Morshed Sheikh, lecturer Alamgir Hossain Shikdar, Md Anwar Hossain, SM Wahiduzzaman,Rezai Rabbi Kamal and prominent persons attended the programme.
The event organizer Sheikh Nazrul Islam elder brother of Zahirul Islam said that according to the decision of the family members the dresses and food were distributed among the orphan students excluding birthday cake and other celebrations.We are delighted to have the orphans happy. Twenty-six orphans have been provided Punjabis,Paijamas, and hats. About 200 orphans, poor and destitute persons and elderly men and women including about 400 people in the area were served good food.
I feel blessed, expatriate Md. Zahirul Islam told this correspondent on the mobile. "I am happy to see the smiles on the faces of the orphans. I feel blessed to be able to stand beside the poor." He said such initiatives would continue in the future. Prominent businessman and social worker of Piroli late Abdul Razzaq Sheikh’s younger son Md. Zahirul Islam has been an expatriate in America for seven years including his wife Kaniz Fatema, two daughters and a son.
Piroli Shamsul Ulum Rokaiya Qawmi woman Madrasah’s Principal Mufti Md.Firoz Ahmed said Zahirul Islam has undoubtedly deserved praise for the orphans' quality food and clothing provided on the occasion of his daughter's birthday. Orphans and children are happy to eat good food.He received food for 60 woman orphans. Orphan Emon Shikdar (11) and Inshan (10) who came to eat at the Zara Zahir's birthday said that a total 14 orphans from our madrassa had come to eat on this occasion. We are delighted to call us and provide good quality food and clothing. In addition to orphans, food is served among the elderly men and women.
