Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to start passenger transport from Bangladesh to Singapore from today (October 28).
Biman will operate flights every Thursday from October 26 to November 12 and every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday of the week from November 13. The flight will fly for Singapore from Dhaka at 8:30 am local time and departs from Singapore at 3.50 pm local time.
Passengers can visit any Sales Office of Biman, Sales Center at Head Office Balaka for tickets.
Before boarding for Singapore passengers must obtain a permit from the Singapore authorities to enter the country and the full dose of the approved Codid-19 vaccine should be taken. Two doses of Pfizer, Modern, AstraZeneca, covishield, Sinopharm, and Sinovac vaccine or one dose of Johnson vaccine must have to take at least 14 days before travelling to Singapore. Passengers over the age of two must have a coronavirus test negative certificate within a maximum of 48 hours before departure. Nevertheless, passengers have to stay in Hotel Quarantine for 10 days upon arriving in Singapore. On the third and seventh day of the quarantine, the antigen rapid test should be done at one's own expense and on the 10th day, the Covid-19 PCR test should be done at one's own expense.
If traveling for a short period of time, passengers will have to undergo a Covid-19 test at Changi Airport for which online registration and fees have to be paid in advance. Before going to Singapore, passengers need to download the ‘Trace Together’ app on their mobile. None can enter Singapore Airport to greet passengers.
Similarly, to arrive in Bangladesh from Singapore, passengers over the age of 12 must have a coronavirus test negative certificate within a maximum of 72 hours before departure. If passengers have not been vaccinated, they must have to go home and stay in quarantine for 14 days.
If any passenger shows signs of Covid-19 after arriving at the county, they will have to stay in quarantine at a government-designated hotel at their own expense.
