Biman concludes Hajj activities

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Successfully Completes 2023 Hajj Program, Transporting Thousands of Pilgrims Safely"

Biman Bangladesh Airlines celebrated the successful completion of its 2023 Hajj program on Thursday. The last post-Hajj dedicated flight (3612) landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport carrying 358 esteemed pilgrims. 

Additionally, 50 pilgrims returned to the country via schedule flight BG 336.

Throughout the post-Hajj period, Biman transported a total of 59,273 pilgrims on 168 flights, which began on July 2. 

Before the Hajj, the airline transported 61,168 pilgrims on 160 pre-Haj flights from Dhaka, Sylhet, and Chittagong.

The Hajj flights were given utmost importance following the directives of Prime Minister. Biman Bangladesh Airlines successfully fulfilled its responsibility of bringing the pilgrims back to the country after performing the holy Hajj.

The concluding event was graced by the presence of the State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali, as the chief guest. Other esteemed guests, including Chairman of Biman Board of Directors Mustafa Kamal Uddin, secretary of ministry of civil aviation and tourism Md. Mokammel Hossain, secretary of ministry of religious affairs Md. Hamid Jamaddar, and Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority Air vice Marshal Md. Mofidur Rahman were also in attendance.

Managing Director and CEO of Biman Shafiul Azim presided over the event and several other officials and dignitaries were present to offer greetings and Zamzam water to the esteemed pilgrims. 

The State Minister expressed gratitude to all the parties involved, including Air and Civil Aviation, for ensuring the smooth execution of the Hajj activities.
