Bangladesh beat Macau by 7-0 in the U-17 Asian Cup Qualifier in Cambodia on Friday.
Nurul Huda Faisal alone scored four goals in the red-green jersey. Apart from this, Manik scored two goals and another goal was scored by Rifat.
With this big win, Saiful Bari Titu's disciples stayed in the fight to become group runners-up. The ten group champions and the top five runners-up from the qualifiers will play in the finals next year. Bangladesh secured six points from three matches in the qualifiers in Cambodia.
Macau is a weak team at the junior level as well as the senior football team. Bangladesh had to wait for 40 minutes to vreak the deadlock. Bangladesh returned to the dressing room at half-time with the lead scored by Faisal.
After the break, Bangladesh gave Macau six more goals. Manik made the scoreline 2-0 in the 66th minute. Bangladesh scored three more goals in 71-75 minutes to ensure a big win. Faisal completed his hat trick in 82 minutes. Faisal scored another goal in the next minute and Bangladesh won 7-0.
This victory will put Bangladesh in a favorable position in the points table. After losing to hosts Cambodia in the first match of the qualifiers, Bangladesh came back on a winning streak with a win over the Philippines.
