Prize distribution function and discussion meeting on quality improvement of primary education was organized under the auspices of Bhangbaria Jubo Samaz on the premises of Bhangbaria Government Primary School in Alamdanga Upazila of Chuadanga on December 9.
It is learnt, students of 14 Government Primary Schools, High Schools and KG Schools (Primary Schools’ level) took part in the competition titled ‘Biddasagar Medha Purshkar’. Ten top meritorious students were adjudged at the competition.
Of the total Saimun Saira of Bhangbaria Government Primary School, Mst Sanimun Khatun of Gourihrad Uttarpara Government Primary School and Ikramin Islam of Bhangbaria Government Primary School secured the first, second and third positions respectively.
On the other hand, other talented students of different government primary school were adjudged top seven. They are -- Sharif Tasin Galib, Mohammad Tauhid Hossain of Merit Model School, Farhan Islam of Bhangbaria Government Primary School, Anika Rahman of Notunkuri, Nisat Tasnim of Chuadanga Government Girls’ High School and Samiul Sazid of Kushtia Zela Schoo l and Musfikur Rahman Ork of Bhangbaria Government Primary School.
A discussion meeting on `quality improvement of primary education’ was held with Engineer Abdus Salam, President of Bhangbaria Government Primary Schools’ Managing Committee, in the chair.
It was addressed, among others, by Rafeza Mirza, Deputy Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Sariful Islam, assistant professor of Sher-e-Bangla Agriculture University, Ruhul Amin, Superintendent of Bhangbaria Madrasa, Fazlul Hoque Joarder, retired headmaster of Hatboalia High School, Hafizur Rahman, lecturer of Badargonj Degree College, Nazmul Hoque, statistics officer, Suzon Mollah, member of Bhangabaria Union Parishad and Aminul Islam, headmaster of Bhangbaria Government Primary School.
The meeting was conducted by Mostafizur Rahman, assistant teacher of Bhangbaria Government Primary School and Al Mamun, circle adjutant. The winners of the competition received prizes from the chief guest.
