An awareness-raising bicycle rally was organised to ensure compliance with hygiene rules and masks at the initiative of Shariatpur District Administration in collaboration with District Scouts on Saturday.
The bicycle rally led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Shariatpur Md. Parvez Hasan started from in front of Shariatpur Government Girls High School at 10:30 am. Thousands of teachers, students and NGO representatives and scouts from various educational institutions participated in the rally, that ended in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Later, a discussion meeting was held on how to maintain social distance, wearing mask compulsorily and prevention of the risk of corona infection. At the time, masks and health awareness leaflets were distributed among all present.
DC Md. Parvez Hasan, Superintendent of Police SM Ashrafuzzaman, General Secretary of Shariatpur Press Club Abdus Samad Talukder, Executive Director of SDS Mojibur Rahman Madbar and others spoke on the occasion.
