Bhedarganj mayor distributes relief from personal fund

Relief has been distributed from the personal funds of Shariatpur's Bhedarganj Municipality Mayor Abdul Mannan Hawladar. He has provided relief to 800 families in the municipality. 

The relief was distributed on Friday morning by ensuring  social distancing at the MA Reza Degree College ground. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tanvir Al Nasiv, Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Mannan Radi, municipal Awami League leaders and municipal councilors were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Mayor Abdul Mannan Hawlader said, “We have been distributing relief since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis. 

In addition to the government-allocated relief distribution, we have previously distributed relief on behalf of municipal funds and municipal public representative officers and employees. Today I am distributing this relief from my own funds.”

He added, “I will distribute relief from my own funds next week too. At the behest of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and under the leadership of our Member of Parliament Nahim Razzak, we are trying to support people in this moment of crisis. No one should go hungry. We are trying to help people.”

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tanvir Al Nasiv said, “Besides government relief, political leaders and affluent people in Bhedarganj have come forward with relief. We have provided all kinds of assistance to ensure that relief is distributed properly.”
