Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) gets new board headed by Khandoker Rafiqul Islam as its President as S. M. Mannan (Kochi) tendered his resignation to the BGMEA Board, citing long-term medical treatment as the reason for his resignation.
Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, who previously served as the Senior Vice President of the RMG sector apex body, was unanimously made the new president.
In this context, an emergency meeting of the BGMEA Board of Directors was held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka recently. The meeting accepted Mannan’s resignation and new President was given the charge.
Additionally, Abdullah Hil Rakib was unanimously made Senior Vice President from Vice President, and Asif Ashraf was made Vice President from Director.
