BGMEA leaders has requested Customs Bond Commissionerate to facilitate bond activities related to garment industry.
On Wednesday afternoon, Chattogram Customs Bond Commissionerate Commissioner Mohammad Lutfar Rahman met with BGMEA leaders led by BGMEA First Vice President Syed Nazrul Islam. The BGMEA delegation include Vice President Rakibul Alam Chowdhury, Director MD M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, AM Shafiul Karim (Khokon), M Ehsanul Haque and newly-elected Directors Mohammad Mucha, Amjad Hossain Chowdhury, Mostafa Sarwar Riyad, Mohammad Rakib Al Nasser, Gazi Md Shahidullah, Md Abshar Hossain and former director Hasanuzzaman Chowdhury were present.
At this time Customs Bond Commissionerate Joint Commissioner Kamonashish, Mizanur Rahman, Tapan Chandra Dey.
During the discussion, the BGMEA representatives said that the Bond Commissionerate's initiative to facilitate bond activities related to garment industry on a priority basis would help the industry to cope with the situation.
