BGB seized 10,000 pieces of Yaba tablets with over 1 kilogram of crystal meth (ice) in a raid at Teknaf in Cox's Bazar. Meanwhile, 20 kg of illegal fishing net and 1 wooden boat were recovered. However, it was not possible to arrest anyone in this incident.
Teknaf Battalion (2-BGB) captain Lieutenant Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed said that on Monday night, an operation was conducted on the news that a shipment of drugs may come from Myanmar to Bangladesh through the area called Nature Park (Double Jora) of Teknaf.
At around 12:00 am, the BGB challenged the two men to cross the zero line of the border in a wooden boat and enter Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the people in the boat fled into the interior of Myanmar. After reaching the spot, the boat was searched and the wooden boat was seized with 1 kg 69 grams of crystal meth (ice), 10 thousand pieces of yaba, 20 kg of current net hidden inside the net.
